Responsibilities for Clinical Data Manager Role 📋
- Design, build, test, and maintain trial-specific clinical databases and systems required for efficient study operations
- Work collaboratively with the clinical programme management team and research staff to ensure seamless data collection and management
- Identify, collate, manage, harmonize, and analyze both clinical trial and laboratory data from translational studies
- Develop and establish processes ensuring clinical and laboratory data meet Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reusability (FAIR) data principles
- Apply exceptional analytical thinking and attention to detail when working with large heterogeneous datasets
- Utilize expertise in clinical trial database platforms (e.g., REDCap or OpenClinica) and R programming language
- Manage relational databases using SQL and SQL Server Management Studio (desirable skill)
- Collaborate across multiple clinical studies with partners both within and outside the UK
- Deliver training in data stewardship according to FAIR data principles
