Join Imperial College London as a Research Associate in Climate Physics and contribute to a groundbreaking project on climate intervention strategies. This is a unique opportunity to conduct cutting-edge climate research alongside leading scientists in the UK.
🧪 Responsibilities – Climate Physics Jobs in the UK
As a key member of the NERC-funded “Advancing Holistic Risk Assessment for Measures to Address Climate Change” initiative, your responsibilities will include:
- 🌀 Generating simulations of Stratospheric Aerosol Injection (SAI) using the UKESM model.
- 🧮 Organizing, processing, and distributing model outputs to project partners across the UK.
- 🌪️ Analyzing changes in atmospheric circulation and interpreting results from climate simulations.
- 👥 Translating technical climate variables into comprehensible human-relevant risk metrics.
This is a full-time fixed-term role for 24 months, with a targeted start in July 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.
