đź Job Description Summary
As the Chief Financial Officer for Unilever Australia & New Zealand, you will be a key member of the Country Leadership team with end responsibility for top and bottom-line delivery across the local operating companies. This senior finance leadership position combines strategic P&L management with balance sheet ownership while driving business transformation and value creation initiatives.
đ CFO Job Responsibilities
- Business Performance Management
- Deliver in-year Profit and Loss (P&L) results while driving and shaping overall business performance
- Conduct thorough performance analysis and implement strategic interventions to ensure delivery of financial targets
- Set the longer-term strategic planning framework and lead financial inputs/outputs for Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
- Provide commercial decision-making support for Customer teams with comprehensive financial insights
- Lead the local Finance Excellence Team (FET) focusing on Cash Up, Overheads management and BMI control
- Oversee Factory controlling and Supply Chain Finance activities across Australia and New Zealand
- Take full responsibility for end-to-end Cash delivery and optimization
- Value Creation Leadership
- Ensure strong forecast accuracy and successfully implement Finance transformation initiatives
- Spearhead Fuel for Growth programs including 5S savings methodologies, Net Revenue Management, Zero Based Budgeting and return on marketing investment
- Drive robust decision-making processes for resource allocation and budget setting
- Identify new opportunities for financial optimization and business growth
- Financial Stewardship
- Maintain complete balance sheet and control framework ownership for all legal entities, including fulfilling statutory responsibilities
- Manage TTS budget control, Rebate systems and Overdue management processes
- Oversee all Finance Excellence Team activities including cash up processes, overhead management, and BMI tracking
- Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead, coach, mentor and develop the Finance team across Australia and New Zealand
- Play a strategic leadership role within the broader ANZ business operations
- Navigate change management effectively and drive transformation initiatives to unlock operational effectiveness and financial efficiencies

Professional Requirements for CFO Position
- Professional financial qualification (CA/ACMA/MBA or equivalent certification)
- Significant FMCG or comparable industry experience at Finance Director level
- Proven in-market experience with P&L delivery and balance sheet/control management
- Exceptional commercial acumen with strong business partnering credentials and demonstrated delivery track record
- Extensive experience managing in-market control frameworks, cash management and financial stewardship
- Comprehensive understanding of Supply Chain Finance activities and Factory controlling processes
- Previous exposure to key value creation initiatives including Net Revenue Management, Integrated Business Planning, and Fuel for Growth programs
- Strong financial forecasting capabilities with demonstrated success in driving forecast accuracy
- Superior leadership skills with experience managing large teams through transformation initiatives
- Experience effectively managing complex stakeholder relationships across local and regional levels
- Excellent presentation and communication abilities when engaging with senior Finance and non-Finance stakeholders
- Proven change management experience in complex organizational environments
