🔍 Centre Administrator Responsibilities
This pivotal role will involve a diverse range of administrative responsibilities to ensure the smooth running of the Leonardo Centre. As the successful candidate, you will:
- Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to Center staff, working closely with the Centre Coordinator and Communications Manager to facilitate research activities
- Deliver Executive Assistant support to the Scientific and Executive Directors of the Centre, handling correspondence, managing schedules, and ensuring effective communication
- Support the Centre Coordinator with HR recruitment processes, including job posting management, interview scheduling, and onboarding documentation
- Manage finance services for the Centre, including budget tracking, raising Purchase Orders, processing invoices, and handling expense claims to maintain financial compliance
- Assist in planning and organizing high-profile conferences and seminars, ensuring professional execution of research dissemination events
- Coordinate internal and external meetings, including Advisory Board meetings, by arranging venues, booking audio-visual equipment, and organizing catering and hospitality
- Provide additional communications support to the Communications Manager when required, helping to maintain the Centre’s professional image and reach
💼 Qualifications and Skills Required
To excel in this Centre Administrator position, you should possess:
- Education to a minimum of A level standard or equivalent qualification
- Proven administration experience, preferably within the Higher Education sector
- Experience with standard finance procedures, including familiarity with Purchase Orders, invoice processing, and expense management
- Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with staff and stakeholders at all levels
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint
- Event management experience, with attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with confidence in handling diverse stakeholders
- Self-motivation and ability to work both independently and collaboratively in team environments
- High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of work
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive or private information
