Job Description Summary
The University of Leicester is seeking a talented and motivated Lecturer in Cancer Precision Medicine to join the Department of Genetics, Genomics and Cancer Sciences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to both teaching and research in collaboration with the Chongqing Medical University (CQMU) Joint Educational Programme (JEP).
Responsibilities
- Co-lead and deliver a final year undergraduate module in Precision Cancer and Respiratory Medicine for the BSc in Clinical Sciences
- Contribute to teaching on the taught MSc cancer programme, focusing on cancer precision medicine
- Conduct high-quality translational cancer research, aligning with the department’s overarching focus on personalizing cancer prevention, detection, and therapy
- Interact with and enhance the research strengths of the Leicester Cancer Research Centre (LCRC) and wider Department
- Develop and maintain research networks and collaborations across the University and CQMU
- Supervise and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Contribute to the department’s administrative duties and participate in academic committees
- Seek and secure external funding for research projects
- Publish research findings in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals
- Present research at national and international conferences
