Job Description Summary Of Finance Manager Job at Stanford University

Stanford University’s Department of Public Safety is seeking a highly skilled Business and Finance Manager to oversee budget management, HR administration, and office operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the safety and security of the Stanford community while utilizing your financial expertise and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the annual department budget and finances for the Department of Public Safety
  • Oversee payroll processing and HR transactions for approximately 50 regular and 60 casual employees
  • Provide financial analysis, forecasts, and recommendations to the DPS director and management staff
  • Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures related to finance and HR
  • Manage and coordinate DPS front office operations
  • Collaborate with administrative staff and other departments as needed
  • Participate in special events and emergency response as required
