Job Description Summary

Join the University of Leicester as a Research Associate in Biophysics and Computational Chemistry, working on a prestigious Wellcome Trust-funded project focused on cryptochrome-dependent animal magnetoreception. This position offers a unique opportunity to work across disciplines and contribute to groundbreaking research in sensory biology.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced molecular dynamic and spin dynamic simulations to support research objectives
  • Guide and interpret in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo assays based on fly and mouse models
  • Collaborate with team members across multiple research sites including Leicester, Manchester, Oxford, National Physical Laboratory, and Exeter
  • Work independently to achieve defined project milestones
