📋 BBC Photography Coordinator Responsibilities

At BBC Creative, the Photography Team Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations for all photography-related activities. As the first point of contact for the department, you’ll be responsible for:

• Being the main point of contact for all photography inquiries coming into BBC Creative’s Photography team, effectively managing and filtering requests to relevant team members
• Communicating promptly and professionally with internal stakeholders, members of the press, and production companies via email
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date information across all platforms, including the BBC Pictures website and Commissioning guidelines website
• Managing the department’s slate workflow, ensuring it remains current with transmission dates, contacts, and content availability
• Deputizing for the Senior Producer at meetings when required, demonstrating leadership and initiative
• Ensuring proper functioning of the BBC Pictures Website, managing access permissions, and providing support to both internal and external users
• Coordinating the delivery and promotion of images from external production companies for programs not allocated to the wider Photography team
• Liaising weekly with internal teams to receive additional picture assets and making them available through appropriate channels
• Supporting the team in campaign delivery, occasionally deputizing to manage the commissioning and delivery of photography
• Assisting the Traffic/Production Manager with photoshoot production management
• Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of BBC Creative Photography policies and communicating them effectively to stakeholders
