Job Description Summary
Join the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) as a Banking Supervisor, where you’ll be responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance and financial supervision of a portfolio of credit institutions in Luxembourg’s dynamic banking sector.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and evaluate compliance with prudential regulations (CRR/CRD) and financial regulations (MiFID, PSD, DORA, MiCA)
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and evaluate institutions’ risk resilience capabilities
- Analyze periodic reporting and recurring reports for regulatory compliance
- Participate in ECB Joint Supervisory Teams under the Single Supervisory Mechanism
- Represent CSSF in supervisory colleges when required
- Handle inquiries and requests related to credit institution supervision
- Attend meetings with management bodies and control functions
- Conduct on-site inspections at credit institutions
- Contribute to research and analysis in expertise centers (financial technologies, governance, credit risk)
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Economics and/or Finance
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the financial sector
- Strong knowledge of banking and financial regulations (preferred)
- Fluency in English and either French or German (Luxembourg language skills are advantageous)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and synthesis capabilities
