Job Description Summary
The National Centre for Atmospheric Science (NCAS) is seeking a highly motivated Scientific Training Manager to lead their scientific training initiatives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the development of the next generation of atmospheric scientists while working with world-leading experts in the field.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement NCAS Scientific Training strategy in collaboration with the Science Director and Scientific Programme leaders
- Create long-term operational plans to achieve the training strategy
- Manage, promote, coordinate, evaluate, and report on scientific training activities
- Liaise with the NCAS Training Programme Lead and Scientific Training Group to assess and develop new training proposals
- Develop innovative methods for producing and disseminating educational content
- Stay updated on external developments in education and training
- Work closely with world-leading scientists and technical staff
- Collaborate with the operations & events team to deliver world-class training programs
