Job Description Summary

🔬 Exciting opportunity for a Research Associate to join the University of Cambridge’s atmospheric composition-climate modelling team. This role focuses on investigating the climate impacts of aviation NOx emissions as part of the UK community Jet Zero programme.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and run experiments using the UKESM model to isolate aviation NOx emission impacts on tropospheric oxidants
  • Analyze historic observations to constrain model effects
  • Collaborate with scientists from partner universities and the UK Met Office
  • Participate in new aircraft experiments using the NERC FAAM aircraft
  • Engage in software development for model-observation analyses
  • Contribute to multi-model analyses with international collaborators
