Job Description Summary

The Department of Education at the University of York is seeking an experienced Lecturer (0.5 FTE) to work on the department’s new PGCE Primary program. The successful candidate will help design and deliver the Professional Learning program for primary teacher trainees, with a focus on phonics teaching.

Responsibilities

  • Develop teaching and learning strategy for the PGCE Primary program
  • Design and implement the Primary ITT curriculum
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted requirements
  • Contribute to subject curriculum area teaching, particularly in the area of phonics
  • Deliver the Professional Learning program for 20-50 primary teacher trainees annually
