Job Description Summary
The University of Oxford is seeking a talented Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join the GOALS group within the Oxford Robotics Institute (ORI). This role focuses on advancing AI techniques for autonomous systems, particularly in the areas of decision-making under uncertainty and sequential decision-making for robots.
Responsibilities
- Develop new techniques for single- or multi-agent decision-making under uncertainty in autonomous systems
- Test hypotheses and analyze data from various sources, refining working hypotheses as needed
- Engage with industrial stakeholders to understand needs and disseminate results
- Organize and deliver autonomous system trials and demonstrations
- Participate in and occasionally lead ORI Research Update sessions
- Plan and participate in offsite robotic trials
- Manage academic research and administrative activities
- Adapt existing and develop new scientific techniques and experimental protocols
- Contribute ideas for new research projects and generate research income
- Collaborate on scientific reports and journal articles
- Represent the research group at external meetings and seminars
