Transdev Canada is seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist for a remote position based in Calgary. 🎯 Key Responsibilities
Account Management and Reconciliation
- Analyze customer accounts for discrepancies and aged items to maintain accurate financial records
- Investigate and resolve legacy balances, unapplied payments, and past-due invoices systematically
- Collaborate with internal departments including sales, customer service, and billing teams to correct outstanding issues
- Perform detailed account reconciliation to ensure all transactions are properly recorded and balanced
Cash Application Excellence
- Apply customer payments including cheques, ACH transfers, wire transfers, and credit card payments to appropriate invoices in the ERP system
- Research and resolve unapplied and misapplied cash transactions, short payments, and overpayments efficiently
- Reconcile daily bank deposits to customer payments ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Maintain detailed records of all cash application activities for audit and compliance purposes
Customer Communication and Support
- Communicate professionally with customers and depot staff to resolve payment discrepancies and obtain remittance details
- Provide comprehensive account statements and perform account reconciliation as requested by customers
- Respond promptly to internal and external inquiries regarding account status and payment history
- Build strong relationships with customers to facilitate smooth payment processes
Reporting and Process Enhancement
- Assist in generating aging reports and dashboards to track account cleanup progress and identify trends
