Job Description Summary

Strategic Education, Inc. (SEI) is seeking a skilled Academic Reference Librarian to provide and promote effective delivery of virtual reference services. This part-time professional role focuses on facilitating student development and achievement of learning outcomes through comprehensive library support services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive reference and research services to students, faculty, and staff through various virtual channels
  • Assist users in developing effective research skills using library databases and online resources
  • Assess and respond to reference queries professionally and efficiently
  • Update and maintain library instruction resources and team training materials
  • Troubleshoot technical library issues and ensure prompt resolution
  • Participate in professional development activities and team collaboration
  • Create and maintain library guides, FAQs, and operational documentation
  • Attend scheduled supervision meetings and contribute to team development
