What is the academic calendar like at SII?

The academic year is divided into two semesters: – Fall Semester: 20 weeks, from September to mid-January – Spring Semester: 20 weeks, from March to mid-July

There are also winter and summer breaks, as well as additional holidays throughout the year.

What are the class sizes?

You can expect to teach undergraduate classes with 20-28 students per group.

Is visa assistance provided?

Yes, successful applicants will be given guidance on how to apply for a visa and work permit to meet the current regulations of the Chinese government.

What qualifications are required?

Essential qualifications include: – MA/PhD in TESOL, ELT, Applied Linguistics, or a recognized Diploma Level EFL qualification (e.g., DELTA) – Minimum of two years teaching experience

Desirable qualifications include: – CELTA and/or specific qualification in Teaching English for Academic Purposes – Experience teaching at a recognized university or tertiary level – Teaching experience in Asia or overseas

What is the tax rate in China?

The tax rate in China is approximately 10%.
