Job Description Summary
The University of Luxembourg is seeking a highly motivated and outstanding researcher for a Research Associate (Postdoc) position in Joint Communications and Sensing (JCAS) for 6G Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTNs). This exciting opportunity is within the Interdisciplinary Centre of Security and Trust (SnT), specifically in the Signal Processing and Communications (SigCom) research group led by Prof.ย Symeon Chatzinotas.
Responsibilities
- Conduct cutting-edge research in joint communications and sensing for next-generation non-terrestrial networks
- Develop innovative solutions and algorithms for integrating communication and sensing capabilities in space-based or airborne networks
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to identify unexplored areas of potential breakthroughs
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in satellite communication, signal processing, radar technologies, and navigation algorithms
- Contribute to research proposals for attracting funding through industrial, national, and European projects
- Publish research findings in prestigious peer-reviewed journals and present at relevant conferences
- Contribute to various research projects, coordinating technical contributions and preparing project deliverables
- Potentially assist in the supervision of PhD students
