Job Description Summary

Deel is seeking an Employment Law Specialist with expertise in Spanish employment law to provide legal guidance on compliance issues, review employment agreements, and support the company’s global HR operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily advice on Spanish employment laws and regulations to answer client queries
  • Draft and review employment agreements, employee handbooks, and other compliance documents
  • Counsel local management and HR teams on employment issues including recruiting, hiring, employee relations, discipline, and terminations
  • Ensure compliance with European working time regulations, including shift working and overtime
  • Conduct internal investigations regarding employment matters
  • Handle leaves of absence, discrimination, and harassment cases
  • Address contingent worker issues and manage compensation, benefits, bonus, and equity awards
  • Support employment litigation, negotiated exits, and settlements
  • Develop and implement efficient processes for contract negotiation
  • Create and maintain training materials, playbooks, and legal guidelines
