Job Description Summary
Liverpool Football Club is seeking a dedicated Youth Coach to join their Academy team on a casual basis, working with children aged 5-11 years. The successful candidate will implement “The Liverpool Way” development philosophy while creating an inspirational learning environment for young players.
Responsibilities
🔍 Youth Coach Development Responsibilities
- Build comprehensive individual player profiles and create personalized Individual Learning Plans for all players, collaborating with the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT)
- Coach various age groups (5-11 years) in games, friendly matches, and tournaments both domestically and internationally
- Contribute to regular performance reviews for players, including formal reports and providing constructive feedback according to Academy protocols
- Assist with the design and evaluation of coaching sessions that align with the club’s philosophy
- Maintain strict accountability for all training resources and equipment, ensuring the highest possible standards
🛡️ Safeguarding and Player Welfare Duties
- Implement the Academy Safeguarding policy, procedures, and best practice guidelines
- Take full responsibility for the safety and welfare of all players from arrival to departure
- Monitor potential safeguarding risks and work collaboratively with the Academy Safeguarding Officer and Head of Safeguarding
- Support the exit/release procedure of Academy schoolboy players in line with Premier League requirements

- Contribute to coaching sessions within school sports programs when required
- Support the pre-academy program, developing both players and coaches in alignment with “The Liverpool Way”
- Assess prospective players during trials and training sessions
