Key Training Development Responsibilities
The Learning & Development Specialist role at KFC Canada encompasses a wide range of responsibilities designed to foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. Your day-to-day activities will include:
- Designing, developing, reviewing, and updating eLearning modules, micro-learning, videos, webinars, and other content using adult learning principles and industry-leading authoring tools such as Vyond, Articulate 360, and Adobe programs
- Building effective relationships with People & Culture colleagues, internal and external stakeholders, and third-party service providers to achieve established L&D objectives
- Creating comprehensive documentation and materials for curricula, including Leader and Learner guides, workbooks, storyboards, and other training materials
- Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts to ensure content relevancy and accuracy through curriculum reviews
- Providing maintenance and troubleshooting support for the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Identifying emerging issues, trends, and needs in partnership with the LMS technical support team to drive business strategies
- Leading learning projects with support from the L&D Manager, including goal setting, solution research, and progress tracking
- Facilitating engaging training sessions, workshops, and seminars for employees at all levels
- Supporting the L&D Manager throughout project lifecycles from inception to completion
- Creating and distributing clear communications about training schedules and program updates
- Evaluating training program effectiveness through surveys and stakeholder analyses
- Managing administrative tasks, logistics, and invoices for the L&D team
Required Qualifications for Corporate Training Excellence 📝
To excel in this Learning Development Specialist role, KFC Canada requires the following qualifications:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Adult Education, Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in corporate Learning and Development
- Proven application of adult learning and instructional design methodologies
- Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools, video creation software, and LMS platforms (particularly Articulate Storyline 360 and Vyond)
- Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Premier Pro, Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher)
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, with presentation skills suitable for all organizational levels
- Creative mindset with attention to detail and results orientation
- Collaborative and proactive working approach
