Description Summary
As an Outreach Specialist at Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana, you’ll play a vital role in coordinating services and community resources to improve food security and financial stability for eligible neighbors. Responsibilities
- Implement a neighbor-centered approach to assess, plan, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate services for individuals and families
- Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to determine eligibility for federal assistance programs
- Assist neighbors with SNAP and other public assistance program applications
- Maintain accurate case notes and documentation while ensuring strict confidentiality
- Coordinate with Network Service Managers and community partners
- Manage Salesforce database and conduct follow-up tracking
- Travel within the service area to conduct outreach activities
- Provide culturally competent and empathetic communication
