The University of Warwick is seeking an exceptional candidate for the position of Assistant Professor in Theoretical Physics/Computational Materials Modelling. Responsibilities

🔬 Research Excellence

  • Pursue internationally leading research in theoretical physics and computational materials modelling
  • Develop and lead an independent research group within the University

📚 Teaching and Supervision

  • Deliver high-quality teaching in physics and computational modelling at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • Conduct lectures, seminars, tutorials, and practical classes
  • Supervise project work for undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to review and develop the curriculum
  • Undertake academic duties such as setting examinations, marking, invigilation, and providing pastoral support to students

  • Take on specific roles and management functions as required by the Head of Department
  • Attend departmental meetings and participate in committees and working groups within the Department, Faculty of Science, and the University
