Job Description Summary
The University of Luxembourg is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join an international project developing machine learning models for perovskite materials. This role combines cutting-edge machine learning techniques with computational chemistry to improve the stability of 3D lead halide perovskites.
Responsibilities
- Develop and train machine learning (ML) models capable of accurately reproducing the complex potential energy surface (PES) of perovskites, including parts responsible for long-range ion transport
- Contribute to the PHANTASTIC international project, collaborating with research teams from Belgium, France, Israel, and Germany
- Utilize novel equivariant machine learning force fields (MLFFs) with state-of-the-art training and sampling approaches
- Conduct efficient Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations and implement recent developments in van der Waals (vdW) methods
- Publish research findings in scientific journals and present at international conferences
- Collaborate with a team of international researchers to advance the field of computational materials science
