Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high-quality teaching and learning in marketing subjects across undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programmes.

• Supervise dissertations and project work.
• Provide academic support and guidance to students as an academic advisor.
• Contribute to course and curriculum development across the university’s schools.
• Undertake course, programme, and module leadership, including administration and development.

• Maintain and develop professional links with relevant bodies and organizations.
• Participate in the university’s Performance and Development Review (PDR) process for continuous improvement.

A: While a doctoral qualification is desirable, it is not essential. Candidates with a Master’s degree in Marketing or a related subject will be considered. However, successful applicants without a doctorate will be required to commence a doctoral-level research degree within the first year of appointment.

A: The appointment may be subject to a probationary period of up to 12 months, in line with the university’s probationary policy.

A: Candidates should either have experience of teaching and learning in a higher education setting or possess a Higher Education Academy (HEA) accredited teaching qualification / Fellowship of the HEA. For those without these qualifications, the university provides support to achieve Fellowship of the HEA within the first two years of appointment.
