Responsibilities

As a Lecturer in Nursing at Leeds Beckett University, you will:

  • Deliver engaging theoretical and practical teaching on undergraduate, postgraduate, and apprenticeship courses
  • Prepare, deliver, and mark coursework, assignments, and examinations
  • Supervise dissertations and project work
  • Provide tutorial guidance and academic support to students
  • Act as a personal tutor and NMC academic assessor
  • Contribute to course development across the School of Health
  • Support academic, administrative, and development activities within the School
  • Undertake personal and collaborative research in line with the University’s Research and Enterprise strategy
  • Maintain appropriate professional and scholarly activities
  • Plan, organize, and monitor own work to achieve tasks and meet deadlines
  • Collaborate with teaching teams and engage students across the University
  • Develop and maintain links with professional bodies and organizations
  • Serve as a link liaison lecturer to nominated areas of the practice placement circuit
  • Commit to personal, teaching, and subject development through the Performance and Development Review (PDR) process
