Job Description Summary
The University of Luxembourg is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate (Postdoc) to join their Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT). This role focuses on developing robust machine learning solutions for multilayer 6G communications networks, contributing to groundbreaking research in wireless technology.

Responsibilities
As a Research Associate in our dynamic team, you will:
- Develop safe and robust machine learning-based solutions for multilayer Ground-Air-Space 6G networks
- Optimize design strategies for:
- Distributed RAN resource allocation
- 3D mobility management and routing
- Risk minimization in dynamic topology of multilayer 6G environments
- Contribute to the National FNR CORE project “RUTINE: Distributed and Risk-aware Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning for Resources and Control Management in Multilayer Ground-Air-Space Networks”
- Disseminate research findings through publications in top-tier venues
- Coordinate research projects and prepare project deliverables
- Assist in the supervision of PhD students
- Prepare new research proposals to attract industrial, national, and European projects
Your Profile: A Blend of Expertise and Innovation đź§
We’re looking for a candidate who brings:
- A PhD degree (or nearing completion) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field
- A strong publication record, with at least 2 journal papers in top 10% international journals in the field
- Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Wireless communications technologies
- Stochastic optimization
- Multiagent and reinforcement learning
- ML/AI for communications
- Robust programming skills in MATLAB, Python, R, or C++
- High commitment, excellent teamwork abilities, and strong critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
