Job Description Summary

Leeds Beckett University is seeking a Research Officer in Artificial Intelligence to support cutting-edge research in AI and Data Science. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking projects in healthcare AI and foundational AI research.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the AI&DS team on research activities in artificial intelligence and data science
  • Support research projects with South-West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, focusing on AI applications for triaging, prioritization, and diagnosis in Adult ADHD and Autism services
  • Contribute to foundational research in neurosymbolic AI and its applications in healthcare, business, and law
  • Write and publish research papers in reputable journals and conferences
  • Assist in preparing research funding proposals for organizations such as Innovate UK, EPSRC, and Horizon
  • Conduct literature reviews and perform data analysis tasks
  • Present research findings at conferences and participate in other dissemination activities
  • Develop and maintain research networks with national and international institutions
