Job Description Summary

The University of Luxembourg’s Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) is seeking a Research Associate (Postdoc) to develop meta-MAC layer protocols for underwater optical communication systems. This exciting role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in a world-class academic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct theoretical and experimental research on meta-MAC layer development for underwater optical communication systems
  • Develop and optimize MAC protocols and network layer solutions
  • Investigate energy harvesting methodologies for underwater optical communications
  • Integrate with the SIGCOM research group and contribute to ongoing projects
  • Design and develop network layer and meta-MAC layer protocols for identified scenarios and use cases
  • Compare proposed solutions with state-of-the-art alternatives through simulations and hardware validation
  • Disseminate research findings through scientific publications and conference presentations
  • Assist in organizing workshops and demonstrations
  • Prepare new research proposals to attract funding
  • Provide guidance and supervision to Ph.D. students
