The University of Luxembourg is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate (Postdoc) to join the Signal Processing and Communications (SIGCOM) research group. This role focuses on advancing Software-Defined Radio (SDR) technologies for next-generation satellite communications, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in 5G and beyond communication networks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in SDR, embedded systems, and artificial intelligence for MIMO communications with NR, 5G, 6G, and beyond
• Support the enhancement and evolution of the End-to-End MIMO Satellite Emulator
• Design and perform experiments using the End-to-End MIMO Satellite Emulator
• Participate in research proposal drafting and project deliverables
• Collaborate on ongoing and future ESA, European, and national projects
• Disseminate results through scientific publications and conference presentations
• Assist in organizing relevant workshops and demos
• Develop research in next-generation MIMO satellite communications and distributed MIMO satellite applications
• Explore joint communication and sensing technologies
• Investigate intelligent reflective surfaces (IRS or RIS) for satellite applications
• Research distributed and collaborative processing systems
• Study on-board processing techniques for satellite communications
