Job Description Summary
Queen Mary University of London is seeking a skilled Research Technician to join Dr. Nikola Ojkic’s laboratory in the School of Biological and Behavioural Sciences. This role focuses on developing bacterial cytological profiling and imaging protocols to understand antibiotic effects on bacterial growth and cell death.
Responsibilities
- Develop bacterial cytological profiling and imaging protocols
- Obtain high-quality images using phase contrast, confocal, and super-resolution microscopy
- Train lab colleagues and students in experimental techniques
- Support research work in bacterial growth, molecular biology, and imaging
- Plan experiments independently and develop research protocols
