Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective maintenance delivery strategies in collaboration with senior management
- Provide leadership and line management to a 60-strong Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) team
- Manage external contractor supply chain with an annual spend exceeding £8m
- Ensure all maintenance services are delivered safely, compliantly, and efficiently against Service Level Agreements and KPIs
- Develop and implement proactive Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) approaches
- Continuously identify and implement solutions to improve maintenance and statutory compliance activities
- Provide professional expertise and guidance to key stakeholders within Departments, Schools, and Faculties
- Lead on interviewing, selection, and recruitment of new staff
- Support the procurement and management of an effective supply chain of maintenance contractors and materials suppliers
- Plan, schedule, and oversee the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance activities
- Assume the role of Safety Officer for the DLO, ensuring high standards of safety performance
