Job Description Summary

The University of Manchester is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Research Associate to join a team developing an NMR device for in-situ monitoring of heterogeneous reactions in the Department of Chemistry.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the kinetics of chemical reactions involving diverse heterogeneous mixtures conducted in standard reaction vessels and stirrers
  • Compare results from mechanically stirred NMR devices constructed by other team members
  • Utilize the novel NMR method to investigate the mechanisms of several industrially relevant transformations
  • Collaborate closely with research teams in NMR spectroscopy and fluid mechanics/engineering
  • Contribute to the overall success of the project through active participation and research
