Job Description Summary

The University of Leicester is seeking a Professor of Respiratory Immunology to join the Department of Respiratory Sciences and contribute to high-quality research, teaching, and the objectives of the NIHR Leicester Biomedical Research Centre.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate fundamental mechanisms underlying respiratory diseases using various modeling strategies (cell-based or preclinical approaches) to translate findings to the clinic.
  • Contribute to and develop teaching programs in microbiology, immunology, and related areas within the College of Life Sciences.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of scientists and clinicians in the Department of Respiratory Sciences, NIHR Biomedical Research Centre, and associated research groups.
  • Provide leadership, development, and delivery of research and teaching in respiratory immunology.
  • Contribute to the management and administration of the School, College, and University as required.
