Job Description Summary
The University of Leicester is seeking an ambitious and creative early career researcher to join their team as a Research Associate in Applied Mathematics, focusing on the broad theme of “Mathematics of Planet Earth.”
Responsibilities
- Conduct research in areas related to extreme events, critical transitions, climate system response to perturbations, climate variability and climate change interplay, metastability and long transients, parametrization of unresolved processes, and model reduction methods.
- Support graduate students and contribute to teaching activities (encouraged).
- Deliver scientific presentations of research findings at international conferences.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports and scientific publications.
- Collaborate with academic partners in the UK and overseas.
