Job Description Summary
The University of Leeds is seeking an experienced researcher at the level of Associate Professor to join the Institute of Functional Surfaces in the School of Mechanical Engineering to tackle global engineering challenges in surfaces and interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Pursue, lead, and develop strategic research, innovation, and impact, attracting funding for postdoctoral researchers and PhD support.
- Maintain a record of high-quality publications in peer-reviewed journals and provide research supervision to attract and supervise research students.
- Undertake research-led teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, designing, developing, and reviewing modules and programs within the subject area.
- Use innovative teaching approaches to deliver inspirational teaching in Mechanical Engineering subjects through various formats.
- Contribute to the management, administrative processes, and committee structures of the School, Faculty, and University.
- Provide academic leadership to colleagues and less experienced staff members.
- Participate in knowledge transfer activities, research dissemination, and activities to broaden research impact.
