Job Description Summary

Keele University is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Free Church Chaplain to join its Chaplaincy team, providing spiritual and pastoral support to students and staff from diverse faith backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Offer spiritual guidance, pastoral care, and welfare support to students and staff, regardless of their religious beliefs or affiliations.
  • Facilitate reflection on values, meaning, and spiritual matters among the university community.
  • Lead Christian worship services, preach, and conduct rites of passage ceremonies (e.g., funerals, weddings) within the Keele Chapel.
  • Collaborate with the Anglican Chaplain in leading the TEN:15 Sunday congregation and community.
  • Engage with and support Christian student groups and faith societies on campus.
  • Contribute to the Keele Welcome experience for new and returning students, and participate in university events and celebrations.
  • Liaise with local churches, ecumenical organizations, and interfaith networks to promote understanding and cooperation.
