Job Description Summary

Keele University is seeking an ambitious individual to join the School of Geography, Geology and the Environment as a Lecturer in Applied Environmental Geography, with expertise in areas such as hydrology, aquatic ecosystems, soil science, or climate change adaptation/mitigation.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver cutting-edge research in applied environmental geography to develop the University’s research themes in sustainable environments and sustainable places.
  • Contribute to ongoing interdisciplinary research projects, such as the £2 million Leverhulme Doctoral Scholarships Programme on Sustainable Rural Futures (SURF).
  • Utilize well-resourced research laboratories and equipment to support your research endeavors.
  • Participate in research activities related to renewable energy and the University’s Low Carbon Energy Generation Park.
  • Teach courses in physical and environmental geography, primarily for the BSc Geography and MSc Environmental Sustainability and Green Technology programs.
  • Contribute to other environmental undergraduate programs as needed.
