Job Description Summary

Keele University is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Associate to join Dr. Bowerman’s research group in the School of Medicine and Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences for a fixed-term project of 36 months.

Responsibilities

  • Lead experimental work aimed at understanding the pathophysiology of Acrodysostosis type 2 (ACRDYS 2) and identify potential treatment strategies using pre-clinical models
  • Perform proteomics, bioinformatics, qPCR, western blotting, immunocytochemistry, and microelectrode array (MEA) experiments
  • Isolate primary neurons, osteoblasts, and cardiomyocytes for research purposes
  • Collaborate with researchers from the University of Glasgow and Katalytic Therapeutics
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation of experimental procedures and results
