Job Description Summary

Imperial College London is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Teaching Fellow to lead its Outreach, Diversity, and Public Engagement initiatives within the Department of Computing for a 12-month maternity cover period.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver the Department’s activities in Outreach, Diversity, and Public Engagement.
  • Coordinate the Department’s equity, diversity, and culture activities, including managing and implementing the Athena Swan Silver Action Plan.
  • Contribute to the planning, design, and development of objectives and curricula related to diversity, outreach, and public engagement.
  • Teach courses and deliver lectures on topics related to diversity, public engagement, and outreach.
  • Organize and coordinate departmental activities at public engagement events, such as Imperial Lates and the Great Exhibition Road Festival.
  • Liaise with industry partners, schools, and colleges to develop and promote outreach activities.
  • Provide public engagement training for staff and students.
  • Support student societies and groups that promote marginalized groups in STEM fields.
