Job Description Summary

The NIHR North West London Patient Safety Research Collaboration (NIHR NWL PSRC) at Imperial College London is seeking a Centre Manager to oversee the management and operations of the research collaboration centre, ensuring effective project delivery, financial management, and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of translational research projects within the PSRC, including progress reporting to the Centre Director.
  • Conduct research impact assessments and communicate findings to diverse stakeholders, including funders and healthcare partners.
  • Facilitate patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIEP) in research projects, ensuring PSRC researchers integrate PPIEP into their work.
  • Provide support and guidance for collaborative patient safety reports, data analytics projects, and funding applications.
  • Maintain an overview of the PSRC centre, monitoring projects, reporting progress against milestones and objectives, and managing the relationship with funders.
  • Manage the PSRC budget, monitor income and expenditure, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with funder terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate purchasing processes, manage subcontracted service providers, and ensure adherence to College policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement systems, tools, and processes to support timely delivery of PSRC projects and mitigate operational risks.
  • Organize meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes for PSRC programme meetings and workshops.
  • Contribute to the effective operations of the PSRC and suggest areas for improvement in financial management, data management, and operational processes.
