Job Description Summary

Imperial College London is seeking an experienced and proactive Events, Communications & Staffing Administrator to join their Chemical Engineering department. This role will provide front-line support for critical activities in events, communications, and staffing administration.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver multiple events, including planning, logistics, promotion, and on-site support.
  • Manage all aspects of the event lifecycle, from planning to delivery and post-event review.
  • Develop an annual calendar of events and disseminate it to the Chemical Engineering community.
  • Keep track of and collate information for the department’s newsletter, social media, and other marketing materials.
  • Write engaging copy for social media platforms and ensure the department’s website is up-to-date.
  • Act as the first point of contact for staffing-related queries and manage HR processes such as recruitment, induction, promotions, and contractual changes.
  • Provide administrative support to the Communications Manager and Administration & Staffing Manager.
  • Maintain records, mailing lists, databases, and assist with project management.
  • Assist with monitoring and managing budgets related to events, communications, and staffing.
