Job Description Summary

The University of Hull is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join their thrombosis research team. This role is part of a collaborative project funded by the British Heart Foundation, focusing on the role of platelets in the cardiovascular comorbidities associated with Diabetes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the collection of clinical samples from the Allam Diabetes Centre of the Hull Royal Infirmary
• Handle human blood samples to obtain information regarding the alteration of platelet biochemistry and physiology occurring in diabetes
• Conduct various cell biology techniques, including live cell imaging, flow cytometry, and in vitro vascular modelling
• Perform biochemistry approaches, such as immunoblotting, second messenger analyses, and oxidative stress analyses
• Prepare samples for proteomics studies at the University of York and functional/cell signaling experiments at the University of Reading
• Maintain accurate records of experiments, analyze and interpret data, and summarize findings for publication
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary and multi-center team
