Job Description Summary
The University of Nottingham is seeking motivated and passionate PhD students to join the Mechanical and Aerospace Systems (MAS) Research Group within the Faculty of Engineering for cutting-edge research in transport and energy, focusing on future sustainability challenges.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research in areas such as rotordynamics & vibration, solid mechanics & materials characterization, thermodynamics & fluid mechanics, or flight physics
- Work alongside world-leading academics and industrial partners
- Utilize experimental facilities, HPC compute facilities, and software for research
- Contribute to the development of innovative solutions in sustainable energy and transport
