Job Description Summary
The role of Assistant Professor in Sports and Exercise Medicine at the University of Nottingham involves providing high-quality teaching and contributing to the planning, design, and development of objectives and materials for innovative degree programs in the area of MSc Sports and Exercise Medicine and MSc Applied Sports and Exercise Medicine.
Responsibilities
- Design course modules and programs of study in the specialist area of Sports and Exercise Medicine
- Ensure the quality and development of teaching methods, assessments, and student needs within the academic unit
- Act as module convenor for appropriate modules on the Sports and Exercise Medicine courses
- Plan and deliver teaching, including coaching tutorial groups, across a range of modules
- Supervise practical work, projects, field trips, or placements related to the course
- Participate in assessments, examinations, and supervision of postgraduate research and Masters students
- Contribute to student recruitment, secure student placements, and provide advice related to this activity
- Participate in committees overseeing Teaching and Learning activities
- Assist in the smooth running of the MSc course, including timetabling, examinations, student attendance, and budget monitoring
