Job Description Summary
The University of East Anglia (UEA) is seeking an experienced medical educationalist with exceptional leadership skills to lead the development and implementation of a new Primary Medical Qualification award as the Associate Professor in Medical Education for Years 1 and 2 of the Graduate Entry Medicine course.
Responsibilities
- Take a leadership role for Years 1 and 2 within the Graduate Entry Medicine course.
- Contribute to the development, innovation, and delivery of all aspects of Years 1 and 2, including teaching, learning, assessment, and student support.
- Implement Years 1 and 2, with support from the Course Director and established infrastructure across the Medical School.
- Contribute to teaching and delivery of the Graduate Entry Curriculum.
- Lead the teaching strategy for Graduate Entry Medicine, focusing on blended and flipped learning.
- Ensure the assessment strategy meets the needs of the GMC, UEA, and students, working with the Director of Assessment.
- Monitor student progress and performance, including oversight of setting and marking examinations.
- Undertake administrative duties to assure quality assurance requirements.
- Contribute to the development of the School and University through relevant committee work.
- Support the selection of Graduate Entry Medicine students, attend Open Days and Visit Days, and interview prospective students.
- Represent Norwich Medical School and Graduate Entry Medicine at external meetings.
