Job Description Summary
Durham University is seeking a dedicated Senior Fitness Assistant to join their Student Enrichment Directorate team at Queen’s Campus Sports Centre in Stockton-on-Tees. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering personal training sessions, fitness classes, and ensuring excellent customer service to sports facility users.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service to students, colleagues, and community members using the sports facilities
- Deliver engaging and effective personal training sessions and fitness classes
- Assist with setting up, maintaining, and tidying sports and fitness equipment
- Respond to queries, log information, and distribute resources as per established procedures
- Administer basic first aid when required and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
- Support the leisure team in achieving shared objectives and collaborate with colleagues
- Complete necessary skills training to deliver services in a leisure and fitness environment
