Job Description Summary
Durham University is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join its Finance Service team. This role is responsible for ensuring the University’s compliance with all relevant tax regulations in the UK and abroad, optimizing its tax position, and providing expert guidance on tax-related matters.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with external advisors to develop and implement tax policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and monitor changes in tax laws
- Provide expert tax advice and guidance to stakeholders across the University
- Participate in internal and external networks to share best practices and enhance the University’s reputation
- Implement tax policies, procedures, and service improvements
- Contribute to operational and strategic planning for the tax service
- Manage, develop, and lead the tax team, ensuring high-quality service delivery
