Job Description Summary

Durham University is seeking a reliable and dedicated Residential Services Assistant to join their Operations Directorate. This full-time, permanent role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the university’s residential services and support students and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal compliance checks, such as Legionella testing, and security patrols to ensure the safety of buildings and residents.
  • Set up meeting rooms and assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks, reporting larger issues to the Estates & Facilities department.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for welfare and buildings issues during out-of-hours periods, providing emergency response and reception cover.
  • Liaise with appropriate College/Duty Officers and staff to address any concerns or issues.
  • Carry out other reasonable duties as assigned.
