Job Description Summary
Durham University’s Department of Archaeology seeks a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to contribute to the Science, Society and Environmental Change in the First Millennium CE (SSE1K) project, focusing on agent-based modelling of past societies in the Mediterranean region.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement agent-based models to explore the impact of environmental and climatic changes on societies in the Mediterranean during the first millennium CE.
- Analyze archaeological and historical datasets to inform the modelling process.
- Collaborate with the project team, including researchers from other institutions, to advance research objectives.
- Contribute to the preparation of research publications, presentations, and dissemination activities.
- Participate in project-related administrative tasks and student supervision as required.
