Job Description Summary
Durham University is seeking a dedicated General Services Assistant to join its Estates and Facilities Directorate, providing essential services across the university premises.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic maintenance and minor DIY tasks to maintain the university’s facilities.
- Handle a range of portering duties, including moving, setting up, and dismantling equipment.
- Assist with ad-hoc security tasks to ensure the safety and security of the university premises.
- Follow strict procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulations and risk assessments.
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment, tools, and resources as required.
- Collaborate with team members and colleagues to ensure efficient service delivery.
